PERSONAL ITEMS.

The Hon. W. Hall-Jones and Mrs HallJones left by the Waihora for Wellington last night. Mr E. G. Wright came to town yesterday. Mr A. C. Pringle arrived from the south by the express last night. Messrs D. B. McLaren, A. H. Hancock, and A. C. Begg were passenger*, by the same train. The Very Rev. Dr. Watters, Rector of St. Patrick's College, Wellington, is a passenger by the Rotomahana, to arrive this morning. Mr J. D. Ritchie, Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, is to arrive from the north to-day by the Rotomahana. Mr T. W. Kirk is a passenger by the same steamer. The Hon. T. Fergus was a passenger for the south by the express yesterday. Mr R. J. S. Harman also left by the morning express. Mr John Douglas, of Mount Royal, came to town yesterday. Mr Mendelssolin, 'of Dunedin, is in town.
