CYCLING.
LEAGUE OF WHEELMEN.
A meeting of the executive of the League of Wheelmen was held at the Clarendon Hotel las*t night, Mr W. E. Thompson in the chair. A circular from the Westralian League of Wheelmen asked the New Zealand League to endorse a number of disqualifications of members of the Fremantle Bicycling Club for holding an unauthorised meeting. The matter was held over until further particulars should be received. A road record from Oamaru to Dunedin, claimed to have been put up by A. Dowlish, was not dealt with owing to informality in the statement of particulars.. The fee of £3 3s was voted to the League's solicitor for going through the revieed rules. The question was brought up of the meeting recently held by the Linwobd Cycling Club without permission from the League. It was agreed that the omission was the result of a mistake. It was, however, decided to write to the Club and call attention to the fact that they should have applied for a permit. Messrs Kirk, Atack and Thompson were appointed a committee to revise the rules.
