(FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDKNT.) WELLINGTON, June 11. The Premier has established a record for length of office continuously as Prime Minister of the colony. Mr Seddon assumed the position on the 18th May, 1893, and consequently to-day can claim the honour of having been Premier for five years and forty-two days. The lecord previously was held by Sir Edward Stafford, who became Premier on the 2nd June, 1856, and heln the position till the 12th July, 1861, five years and forty-one days. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) AUCKLAND, June 12. The Hon. Thos. Thompson arrived to-day, and is to address his constituents next week. WELLINGTON, June 12. The Premier left by the Hinetnoa and will address a meeting at Akaroa.
