ALLEGED THEFT OF MONEYS.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, May 23. John Craig, late manager of Te Aro House, appeared on remand to-day, and the charges against him were at length gone into. There are two counts of stealing £810, originally stated to be money in the Bank of New Zealand, but now altered to the money of his employers. Evidence was taken tending to show that tho cheques for wages were habitually overdrawn. After a portion of tho evidence had been heard, the case was adjourned till Wednesday.
