PARISH MEETINGS.
ST. MARK'S, OPAWA.
The annual meeting of the parishioners was held in St. Mark's schoolroom on Friday evening. The Chairman, in addressing the meeting, thanked the parishioners for the decoration of the chancel and the renovation of the interior of the church on the occasion of the Diamond Jubileo rejoicings. Some necessary repairs in the fabric had also been carried out, several parishioners had offered gifts, and the church looked fair and well cared for. Mr C. E. Jones submitted a statement showing that the liabilities had increased by £13 7s Id instead of diminishing, as had been the case for the last three years. While there had been a falling off in the ordinary offertories, there had been a considerable increase in those for missions and other special purposes. The accounts were adopted. The Chairman nominated Mr Charles E. Jones as churchwarden, and the parishioners elected Mr A. P. Farrow. The following persons were elected vestrymen : —Messrs H. P. Murray-Aynsley, W. Broadhurst, H. Neave, W. Jameson, J. E. Garland, J. Rogers, Y. Donald, F. Andrews, J. A. Poulton and J. J. Thomson. Mr Walter Ollivier was elected auditor, and a vote of thanks was possed to him for his services in the past year. Votes of thanks were also accorded to the retiring churchwardens and vestrymen, the choir, the Sunday school teachers, and all who in various ways had assisted in promoting the welfare of the parish. A social gathering followed the meeting. A programme of music was submitted, and tea and other refreshments were provided by dome ot the ladies of the parish. OXFORD. The annual meeting of the parishioners of Oxford district was held in the Town Hall, East Oxford, on Friday evening. The congregation of St. Andrew's Church was well represented. The statement of accounts showed that some £10 was needed to make up the guarantee. On the motion of the Vicar the heartiest acknowledgments were paid the lay readers, Sunday school teachers, organists and choirs. The church officers of the past year were all re-nominated to the Bishop for the renewal of their appointments.
