ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A lad named G. Andrews, an apprentice at Scott Bros.' foundry, had his hand badly torn by a circular saw this morning. (PRBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, April 15. A young man, Daniel Herlihy, while giving a horse swimming exercise in the Otaki river, was drowned. His body has been recovered. DUNEDIN, April 14. An elderly man named James Weir, whose leg was fractured at Catlins over a week ago, died in the hospital this morning. An inquest was opened but adjourned.
