FOOTBALL.
The annual meeting of the Kowai Football Club was held in the Sefton Town Hall on Friday evening. There were only live members present, Owing to the number of playing members who have left tho district or who have decided to give up the game, it was unanimously decided to wind up tho affairs of the and to give the email balance in hand to the schoolboys to purchase a football.

WELLINGTON, March 23.
The English Kugby Union has upheld the appeal by the Otago Union against the decision of the New Zealand Union in the Star v Port Chalmers case, ruling that the question is one of fact, and that the referee's decision must be upheld and the goal by the Star Club allowed to score.
