FORBURY NOTES.
[By Telegraph.] (FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.) DUNEDIN, xMarch 16. The three things to be noted in connection with Wednesday morning's work are— First, the vast improvement of the tracks consequent on the copious rain over night; eeconti, the arrival of Mr Stead's Conqueror and Altair, who stripped and cantered; third, a serviceable gallop oq - the main course over the Cup distance by Emmcline, who was taken along at a Round pace by Decoy and Jupiter. The other horses that worked before breakfast were Arline, Belle Clair, St. Ouida, Maremtna, Zephyr, St. Paul, Fulmen, Fabulist, Lady Harret, The Idler, Wolf's Crag, Red Lancer. They all cantered. Goodman's team were out, but postponed work till after breakfast. The rain has now cleared off and the weather is beautiful. (press association telkoram.) DUNEDiN, March 16. The important arrivals for the Cup meeting include Aolares, St. Clements, St. Paul, Prime Warden, Conqueror, Altair and Lepanto. St. Paul has been restricted to easy work, being light in condition. Good work was done by Emmeline, Pitch and Toss, and Sequin. Euroclydon is standing up to his work so far. This morning muchneeded rain having fallen, the course was in perfect order. The only gallop of importance was performed by Emmeline, who went the Cup distance, strongly helped along by Decoy and J upiter.
