There was a biuiy market in Rangiora yesterday. At the Ce.ntr.al Yards of Mr W". 'Buss the entry was 3000 sheep, 150 pigip and 120 cattle. Prices for all olassea of sheep were equal to late rates, and with exception of 500 fiheep the yard was cleared at the following pricee:— Batchprp , fst ewes 5s 6,d, 6s 9d to 8s 6rl; fat lambs 93 to 10a 6d. fat wethers (freezers) IJji 6d to 12s 6d, fresh.oonditioned lambs 6s 6d to 7e 9d, halfbred breeding ewes (soundmouthed) 5s 6d to Os 6d, two-tooth halfbred ewes 6s. (}d to 7s 6d, old breeding ewoe 3a 6d to 4s 6d, merino ewes six and eight-tooth 3a 6cl to 4s, good store lambs 4s to ss, crossbred boilers 2a to 2s 3d, halfbred do 2s 6d to 3s, merino boilers 4d, 9d to Is 4d. In the produoe yards of Air A, P. Tutton woolly skins 2s 6d to. 4s, pelts Is 6d to 2s 6d, lambskins 2s. to 2s 6d, fat Id to I|<l, fowls is 6d to 2» 6d pair, duolfi 2? to 2s 3d, chickwheat 2a 9d to 3s 3d bushel, milling do 4s, oats 2s 3d to 2s 6d, feed peas 3s 3d, do broken So, beans 2s 9<l to 3s, .crass seed 2.3 6d to 4s, cpwgra§« 7d lb, bran 70s ton, sharps 85s, flour 19a to 23s saok, potatoes 60s to 60s ton.
Afc the North Canterbury yards the entry was 2300 aheep, of whioh 200Q were sold. v Sound mouth merino ewes 2s lOcl to 3s 6d, halfbreddo 6a 6d to 7s, store lambs 1 .4n lid " to 6s 3d, fat halfbred ewes 7a 8d to 8s 3d, : crossbred two-tooth wethere 8a to 9a Id, boilers Iβ to 2s 6d. There was a vejy large entry of sheep at fche Temuka Yards yesterday. Cattle were poorly represented, and wcro praotiuaUj unsaleable. Pigs were aagin in requeßtJ and fetched prices equal to jf not botter than late races. The following are prices actually realised .--—Sheep—Fat ewes 5s 10d, 6a 2q, • 6s 10d ; two-tooth maiden ewes 9s 3d ; twotooth wethers 7s lOd to 10s 9d ; four-tooth threequarter.bred ewes 6s 8d; threequarter bred lamb? 3s 7d, 7s 4d, 7s lid, 8s 5d and 9s. Pigs—Stores 7s to 16s, larger .sorts 19e, sows 25<j. Cattle—-Nominal values only.
