An inspection is also being made of forty steamers suitable for conversion into cruisers. Among these are the new American line mail steamers St. Paul and St. Louis. Received March 16th, 12.30 a.m. : ' March 15. The United States has purchased two warships from the Brazilian Government. Vienna, March 15. The Emperor Fraucis is endeavouring to induce the Powers to represent to the United States the danger to Europe of further interference in the Cuban trouble.
