FOOTBALL.
The annual meeting of the Sumner Football Club was held on Friday, Mr N. McRobie in the chair. Seventeen new members Were elected and the following officers :---Prßsident, Mr W. Bowron ; VicePresidents, Messrs A. Binnie, W. Nicholls, J. Buttle, R. McConnel, S. P. Andrews", W. Hill, G. Glover, J. Trerise, and Rev. C. H. Gosset; Club Captain, Mr N. Mcßobie; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr S. McHarg ; Auditor, Mr H. Andrews; Committee, Messrs W. Bamford, J. Killick, J. Milne, R. Butcher; Delegate to Rugby Union, Mr N. Mcßobie.
The annual meeting of the Dunsandel Football Club was held on Saturday, Mr Cameron in the chair. The report showed that out of thirteen matches played last season the club had won seven, drawn two and lost four. The following officers were elected.—President, -Mr -J. L. Boag (reelected) ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs W. F. M. Buckley, F. Wright, J. Henderson, W. Tipler, J. W. Irvine, F. Lill, J. Henry, J. S. Robins, S. Shevrard, D. Cameron, J. Lockhead and E. Richards ; captain, J. Rourke ; sub-captain, C. A. Wright; delegate to Rughy Union, R. C. Dunlop (reelected) ; se'jrotary and treasurer H. N. Wright.
The annual meeting of the Leeston Club took place on Thursday, Mr R. S. Cook in the chair. The report stated that the Ellesmere Association had proved of gre-,t assistance to football generally. The Club's West Coast tour had proved very successful, and special mention was made of the services rendered by Mr W. G. Garrard; Eighteen new members were elected. The following officers were appointed .* —-President, Mr R. S. Cook, captain, Mr Wj. Ballagh; vice-captain, Mr N. Herron; secretary and treasurer, Mr T. R. Hogg: delegate to the Rugby Union, Mr George Rennie.
