At the inquest on the body of King, the sexton of Rockwood Cemetery, a verdict of "wilful murder" was returned against Cusack. A Catholic priest gave evidence that Cusack came to him after the tragedy and virtually admitted the crime, and at the same time begged for slight financial assistance. The priest urged him to surrender, to the police, but he refused, and the clergyman thereupon imformed the police. No trace of tha murderer has yet been discovered. Mrs King is slightly better. If she recovers she will bs paralysed in the legs for life.
