The surveyor reported that Mr Power was willing tc remove the fence as required/ It was agreed to leaae to Mr Power part' of a road in his paddock. It was reported that a culvert on Harrison's road had collapsed with a traction engine, and it was..decided to erect a concrete culvert. A- requisition from seventeen ratepayers asked ■ the Board to open the oid Native* Cemetery, road through Kaiapoi 'borough reserve. It was decided to wait op the Council with a view of exchanging the present road for & more direct road on ,to the. North road. A letter from Mr Papperill, solicitor, to Mr 6. Jelfa, asked •• the Board to open a road through Maori reserve. It was decided to ■ascertain if the Board had any control over the road in question) and to reply that the Board" would, 'endeavour, to get Mr Jelfs a ; road formed and gravelled from Rowe'a road. j Mr Sklaark's tender- for dog collars was ac- ! cepted. It was decided to- aak the Minister of Agriculture to ' introduce legislation making it compulsory on all local bodies to take measures for the destruction, of small birds. It was decided to write to other Boards asking them, .to assist. The receipts were £144 Iβ 7d, the-balance at bank £127 3s 3d. Accounts £100 Is 7d were passed.
