The annual sports were held with great success yesterday on the Domain, lliere was good competition, and the committee ; managed the events very well. The Kaiapoi brass band and a eteam merry-go-round contributed to the interest in the proceed- , ings. Results :—Youths' Race, under four« ! teen, 200 yards— J. McTaggart 1, J. Fitxpatrick 2. Ten ran. Boys Race, under sixteen, 220 yards— J. Kelcher, 15yds, 1; J. England, lbyda, 2. Nine entries. Men* Handicap Race, 100 yards—Final, J. Alexander 1, W. Lillyman 2, J. Fitzpatriok 3. Won by a yard, a foot dividing second and third. Putting 161b Stoma— R. Matey, 34ft Bin, 1; J. Bunting, 33ft sin, 2; Men's District Race, 100 yds, haudic&n—G. McQuillan, syds, 1; Soloman, sor, 2; S. Smith, sor. 3. Six started. Woo by two yards. Boys' Obstacle Race, under sixteen— W. Power 1, Kolohcr 2. Four started. Men's Oue Mile Plat Raoe—F. J. Dixon, scr, 1; J. McAdam, 30yds, 2; R. Grant, 20yds, 3. Nino started. Won by two yards, a yard separating second and third.
