PORT CHALMERS REGATTA.

(press association telegram.) DUNEDIN, December 27. The strong S.W. gale which prevailed throughout yesterday had moderated to a stiff breeze to-day, but it was too strong to germifc of the rowing events at the Port halmers regatta being got off. These were, therefore, postponed. Leader won the champion yacht race, Daisy won the second class yacht race, White Wings 2, Carbine won the 20ft open boat race, and Waitangi the all-comers open boat race. The attendance was only moderate.
