BALCAIRN SCHOOL.

The annual treat in connection with the Balcairn school was held on Wednesday. The children had races for small cash prizes and toys. The special prizes were given by Mesdames Douglas, Dennis, J. C. Moore and Sellars, Miaae3 Lister and Riordan, and the quadrille assembly. Mrs Bruere presented a set of cricketing material to the boys and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
