CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING.
NEW ZEALAND CUP DAY.
To-day the great annnal spring racing carnival o£ tho Canterbury Jockey Olnb commences, and judging from the large influx of visitors, tho excellence of the fields both in the matter of all-round usefulness and numbers, the meeting will be quite up to the standard of previous years. The faot of the meeting being honoured by the presence of our new Vioveruor, and many members of Parliament and representative* visitors from different parts of tho colony, has uddod to the interest of the gathering. Trains leavo f< -v the eourai at U.lO a.m., 11.25 a.m., 11.40 a.m., 11.50 a.m., 12 and 12.50 p.m., and we fully antioipato seeing a large attendance.
