Cannonshot was scratched for the New Zealand Cup at 10.30 yesterday morning, and Mountebank was struck out of the Stewards Handicap half an hour later. The Stewards of the Canterbury Trotting Club held" a meeting last night and discussed the decision of the South Island Trotting Association in the Bed of Stone appeal case. Before agreeing to abide by the decision of the governing body it was resolved to submit the case to the Colonial Secretary.
