Twenty thousand tribesmen hold the Sempagha Pass, the defences of which are very strong. The rapidity of movement and accuracy of shooting displayed by the tribesmen is remarkable.
The Queen's recent message, expressing sympathy with the wounded, roused enthusiasm in the ranks of the British troops, who are eager to attack the enemy.
