The sales of wheat that have taken place during the last few days show a rather firmer toue in the market. Several thousand ! bushels, principally of Tuscan of fair to j medium quality, have been placed at equal jto 3a lid to 3s lHd f.o.b. and 3s lid at J Christchurch. A large line of seconds has i also changed hands at 3s 4d f.o.b. Other j descriptions of gram and produce are very i quiet, and little business is doing. ! frit-- £-11.— 4. _.!J »-.

farmers, f.0.b., Lyttelton, for direct shipment from country stations and free of commission, except where otherwise specified :— Whkat—Good to prime quality pearl 4s to 4s Id, Tuscan 3s lid to 4s, Hunter's 3s lid to 4s, second quality wheat about 2d lower.
Oats—Prime milling 2s sd, good stout feed 2s 2d to 2s 3d, fair short feed 2s Id to 2s 2d, Duns 2s 3d, Danish 2s Id to 2s 2d.
