FROZEN MEAT TRADE.

Tbe following is an extract from the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company's Meat Rep-irt of June 25th:—In very marked contrast to the many tardy discharges that have been commented on of late, 'and complained of by consignees, is the despatch in landing the cargo of the Hawke's Bay, which arrived in dock Sunday, June loth, commenced discharging 9.30 a.m. June 14th, and was finished the night of Friday, June 18th, landing in good condition 58,935 carcases, 37 quarters beof and 40,815 pieces, legs, &c. As is customary with boats of this line, not a carcase, or a part, were found unsound by the port sanitary authorities.
