THE WINNER OF THE QUEEN'S PRIZE. COLONIAL WINNINGS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 25. At the Bisley Rifle Meeting Private Ward, of the Ist Regiment of Devonshire Volunteers, won the Queen's Prize with an aggregate score of 304 ; Private Thompson, of the Queen's Rifles, Edinburgh, was Second with 302; and Sergeant Scott, of the Border Rifles, was third, his score also being 302. Bombardier Carter, of Victoria, stands seventeenth, and wins £12 and a badge. Hawthorn, of New. Zealand, with a score of 286, is sixty-seventh on the list and wins £3'and a badge. At the' 800 yards range Carter scored 38, and Hawthorn 47, while at the 900 yards range Carter made 45 and Hawthorn 30. . Three of the Canadian team scored above Carter.
In the Daily Graphic Match, Wjlliam3, Parsons and Sergeant Sommeryiile, of New Zealand, won £2 16s each; Todd,"' Victoria, won a money prize-of, and Grammett and Walker; of Victoria, and Hamilton, of Queensland, £2 16s.
In the Duke of Cambridge competition, Reilly, of Victoria, with 47, secured second place, and won £5. •-•>'■. Iv the Daily TeUgfdph Cup, Banks, of New Zealand, won £7 2s j Grummett, Victori,. £3 10s; King, of New Zealand, and Bradley and Ferguson, Queensland, £2 each.
In the Alexandra Match, ten competitors made 69. The .best .colonial scorers were Parsons and King,) 68; Williams, Heenan, Sankeyand Green, 67. At the 800 yards range in the Queen's Prize Hawthorn made seven bulls-eyes and three inners, and at 900 yards Carter made five inners and five bulls-eyes. Hawthorn missed once, the fault being attributed to a defective cartridge. The weather during the Bisley meeting was superb. The Duchess of York presented the prizes to the successful competitors. ; The Duke of York wished the colonials a pleasant voyage home, and he hoped that they would compete "next year. There was an immense attendance, and great cheering at the presentation ceremony. In the St. George's Vase competition, Green, of Queensland, won £8 and King, of New Zealand, £7, and both receive badges. Walker, Victoria, won £5, Moodie, Queensland, £4, and Carter, Victoria, £3. v July 26. In the Alexandra competition Parsons and King won £5 each, Williams, Heenan, Sankey and Green £4, Carter. Ballinger, Banks, Hawthorne and Grant £3, Simpson, Moody, Winterford, Bradley, Kirk, Walker and Grummett £2.
In the Grand Aggregates, with a possible of 387, Carter made 354 and King 353 and won £3 each ; Todd, Walker, Mitchell, Hawthorne and Howe won £2 each.
In the Volunteer Aggregates Carter won £3, Todd, Walker, Howe, King and Heenan £2 each.
In the All Comers Aggregates Banks won £5, King £3, Carter, Hawthorne, Heenan and Winterford £2 each.
