Defendant stated he owed 13s 9d and had paid the other items. Mr Papprill pointed out that Taylor had sworn to the delivery of the goods, bat the day book could not be produced. Judgment for plaintiff for 13e 9d- Same v Makoraako (a Maori), £5 16. 6d. Defendant put in a receipt given by Taylor. Judgment for defendant, who was* allowed costs 10s and interpreter's fee.
