Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations :— THURSDAY, APRIL 15. For Dunedin and Invercargill, per Mararoa, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.13 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian, colonies, yia Wellington, per Talune, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. SATURDAY, APRIL 17. For Australian Colonies, via Bluff, Ceylon, India, China, &c., also United Kingdom ttnd Continent of Ettrope, via Suez, per Rotomahana, to connect with Mararoa, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. Due London, June 2nd. Mails leave Sydney tor Noumea and Fiji on April 21st. EASTER HOLIDAYS. The following mails will be closed on Thursday instead ( pf Friday this week:—, Cilenroy and Lake Coleridge -at 8 -p.m. ; West Coast via Springfield, at 8 p.m.; Methven, Lauriston, Gairnbrae and Lyndhurst, at 3 p.m.; Post Offices on railway line south of Rakaia, at 8 p.m. ; Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin and Invercargill, at 8 p.m. j Motunau, Domett and Cheviot, at 8 p.m. ; Akaroa and Bays, at 7 p.m. Good Friday —The Post Office will observe a close holiday. . Easter Monday—The Post Office will be open from 9 to 10 a.m., in all branches. Mails usually closed in the afternoon will be closed at 10 a.m. There will be no delivery by lejfcter carriers, but the office will be opened 'ori Saturday evening, 17th April, from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. for a counter delivery of letters.
