WEDNESDAY'S STOCK MARKET.

(BY OUR COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) A heavy yarding of fat and store sheep and lambs kept those who had business to transact to a very late hour at the yards. The sale of certain descriptions of Btock was also somewhat dragging, and this tended to lengthen oat the proceedings*. The entry of store sheep was made ap principally of wethers and lambs. Buyers were not very numerous and sales were somewhat difficult to effect except for forward turnip sheep and other -wethers, which wero really fat bat had been placed in the store pens on account of the heavy entry in the fat sheep department. The continued dry weather, and the backward condition of turnip crops are acting unfavourably on the store market. Lines of fat wethers were sold as nnder :—260 from the Peninsula at 123 ; 250 from Parnasans at 11a 6d, and 400 from Waikari at lis 4d, and the principal forward lots were 660 Peninsula
