At the Ashburton Yards - the entry ot sheep was about 600.0 tp 7000, mostly lambs and ewes of not the best quality. The prices were :—Fat crossbred ewes '7s to 8s 6d, fat merino ewes 3s 8d to ss, fat crossbred two and four-tooth wethers 9s-3d to 10s, fat crossbred lambs 10s lOd, store lambs 6b 8d to Bs* lOd, store two and four-tooth crossbred wethers 8s 9d to 10s, store two, .our, six and eight-tooth ewes 6s 6d to 8s 6d, store aged crossbred ewes 3s lOd to 4s 3d, store boilers Is to 3s; cattle, about 40 beef (good to medium) 15s to IBeper 1001b, beef £4 lis to £6, store cattle 17s to. 30s; pigs, weaners 5s to 7s 6d, porkerr 13s to 20s, baconers 39s each. At the Temuka stock sale on Taesday the following were the prices :—Two and fourtooth ewes and' wethers 9s 7d to lis 6d. three-quarter-bred lambs 4s lid to 53 Id, halfbred ewes 2slld to 6s- 6d, fat ewes 7s to 7s 3d, two-tooth B.L. rams .l£gs, to l_gs, six-tooth E.L- rams 10s 6d to 21s, four-tooth Lincolns l|gs, fat * steers £4 7s 6d to £5 17s 6d, cows £2 2a 6d to £5 ss, yearlings 10s od to 255.
