Messrs Glass, Palmer and Tregear were appointed a Works Committee for the month. Mr Mayne commenced, duties as headmaster on Monday last, and the Committee were pleased to report that all written home work had been dispensed with, as Mr Mayne's experience tended to prove that such a step would be beneficial to the good working of the school and the education of the children.
