*♦* Under this heading we hope to print, every Monday, signed articles on literary, social, and philosophical questions from leaders of thought and capable writers in all parts of New Zealand, thus filling in some measure the place of a New Zealand magazine, the absence of whioh is frequently regretted. Controversial articles on religion or party politics will be excluded, but we shall gladly welcome for this column original thought and bold writiug on non-party subjeots of general interest.
