The Beys. W. Douglas and Ensor were passengers from Wellington by the Penguin on Saturday.
Major Brown and Captain Henry were passengers from Wellington by the Corinna yesterday.
The Rev. R. Raine came by the same steamer.
The Hon. W. Rolleston and Professor Cook returned by the Corinna.
His Honour Mr Justice Denniston was a passenger for Wellington by the Penguin on Saturday. Drs Lindo Ferguson, Campbell and Mackenzie went by tie same steamer. Colonel Smith wag a passenger for Wellington by the Penguin. Mr L. Blundell returned to Wellington by the Penguin. Mr J. A. Gilruth was a passenger from the South by Saturday's express, The Hon. J. Garrard, Minister for Education in New South Wales, on Friday visited Kaiapoi, the Kaiapoi Borough schools, and the Woollen Mills.
Mr and Mrs W. B. Common returned to Christchurch by Saturday's express. Mr and Mrs T. Garrard came by the same train.
Mrs J. S. Smalley, of Masterfcon, leaves for England shortly, under directions of her medical adviser.
Judge Ward was a passenger for the South oy Saturday's express. Mr T. E. Price, of Masterton, went by the same train. The Hon. Captain Millar went South by the express on Saturday. Mr J. J. Kinsey went South on Saturday. Mr Isaac Sargeant returned from Christchurch to Ashburton on Saturday. Mr B. Hay went South on Saturday. Mr Chas. Andrews left Ashburton on Saturday on a visit to the North Island.
