SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

The monthly meeting of the West Oxford Committee was held on Monday. Present —Messrs Kennedy (chairman), Munn, Allen, Knowles and Fisher. The Master's report showed average attendance 89.6, number ou books 132. Six applications were received for the office of caretaker, and that of Mrs P. Smith at £1 per month was accepted. Several accounts were passed. The monthly meeting of the Sonthbridge Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Present—Dr. Withers (Chairman), Rev. Cooks, Messrs R. C. Burns, Geo. Marquand, W. Hi-bard, J. Cowan and C. Hampton. Correspondence was received from the Board of Education, accepting Miss A. Mcllwraith as pupil teacher to the school, also Miss Tulloch as assistant mistress. The Master's report showed number on roll 244, average attendance 174. Accounts amounting to £3 8s 6d were passed.
