H. .Waddell, whose prospecting operations in the Urewera country were stopped by Government, had an interview fast night with the Minister of Mines, who stated that rumours had reached Government that money was being given the Natives to allow of a passage through the country, but until the triangulation had been established Government would allow no prospecting. The matter is to be brought before -Parliament next session on behalf of Mr Waddell.
