At a meeting of the Tahuna Park ,Tro .ting Club to consider the action of the South Island Trotting Association in disqualifying all owners, riders, drivers, and homes taking part in events passed by the D.J.0., and which have not been submitted to the Association, it was resolved—"That as a Club affiliated to the.South Island Trotting Association, we protest against the decision, as we consider that the Association have clearly gone beyond the rules in this matter, as these do not in auy way give authority to interfere with Racing Clubs." Acceptances for the Canterbury Trotting Club's meeting close to-night at the Club's rooms, Cashei street. Acceptances for the Hawko's Bay Jockey Club's meoting close to-night. At a meeting of the stewards of the Christchurch Racing Club, held on Monday, it was resolved that a number of bookmakers be disqualified for trespassing at the club's meeting on the 16th inst., and that further instructions be given for thoir prosecution for failing to heed the warning issued by the club.
