A shothopaack is a useful and good-looking stuff, mau>, ln ' varying colours, such as peach shot-witb green, brown shot with peacock, blue-with green, and so on ; and in alpacas of all sorU there is a multiplicity of colours, thegreens, greys, fawnß, browns; and white beingjn , the ascendant. r _ " -. ; . In what is called spring suitings, the light- ; makes of cloth also show a great variety of colourings which are lighter than they used to be. Green or blue are apparently preferred, while the Venetian covert coatings are equally iv demand, especially in fdtienew -~j mulberry shade. The Oxford suitings not unlike the beige of old days, thicker firmer; and the Riviera suiting «■"'•'. sort of alpaca, in which blue is shot' with s'-j: pink, peach with green, green with blue, _ brown with blue, and red with black; The % mohairs are certainly one of the best wear ing stuffs we have had for years, firm,of , ■ texture and silky; dark blue and black shots, greys, fawns, and white predominate £j in mohairs. There are several varieties of -| fancy woollens, and a long range /of colours in Melton. Indeed, the most strik-. -J| ing novelty in tailor-made dresses in those, J shades wbioh are now considered suitable/,. .| even in covert coating, viz., blues, berries, ereens, browns, and many other;-T> tones that are uncommon and original, ***->:'; Scarborough suiting shows coarse intermixed with kniokerbocker lines of silk.'■v.'.'; and the Folkestone suiting is a canvas with .. 4. multi-coloured marbliugs in many oTW»f£ " designs. ** '.'v>.;
