GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET.
The shower of rain which fell on Thursday evening was most welcome to farmers, 1 and though it did not lost as long as was desired it appears to have been pretty .general throughout the province. All kinds of crops will benefit exceedingly, and pastures will also be improved. There is a very promising crop of cocksfoot on the Peninsula, and it required this rain to prevent premature ripening. During the past few days the grain market has been in a quiescent state, very little wheat or oats changing hands.
