The light weight, " Tiny" Radoliffe, has j gone over with them. I W. Clarke also went to the Coast on Saturday, taking Arquebus, who is nicely handicapped in the Greymouth Oup. * Lady Zetland, who had commenced work again,, has boen sent homo, Mr Qate_ having finally decided not to race the little mar. again. Mr G. G. Stead's horses left for Auckland on Saturday by the Te Anau in charge of _.. J. Mason. They comprise the following, Multiform, Epaulet, Gold Medallist. . It was unfortunate that Mr Stead at the last moment could not send Uniform to Auokland to represent him. To have to forego valuable engagements with a good colt is bad enough, but the fact of Uniform not being sound enough to stand up to work is worse. Saracen is to be blistered and treated to a short spell. Derrett's Medallion—Adulation colt has been added to the list. The tracks at Riccarton are very hard, 7 and rain is much wanted. Shooting Star, own brother to Artilleui '~ and Belligerent, is to join G. Murray* Aynsley's team next week. The two-year-old filly by Ruby from a mare named Cherry in Aynsley's stable hai boen named Cherry Stone. Chiara, by Cuirassier—Ouida, is to be- ■ sent to Saracen, who has already served several mares of the hackney class. On Sunday morning Mr .Stead's horses, Musketry, I. irefly and Beauty Sleep, wer« on the course and did gentle exercise, Psyche has foaled a filly to Clanranald. , Sheenan's Chain Shot—Psyche filly, now known as Treasure Seeker, is to bo treated to a short spell, she having gone very sors again. Mr R. Allen has retired his two-year-old St. Mellons, by St. Leger—Valentinia, from the. track for a time. He was emasculated by Mr Jamieson on Saturday last. .He.has been turned out since the November meeting. Others that have been added, to the li-1 at j head-quarters lately are Blandyke,. by - \ 'Stonyhurst—Alsace, the two-year-old by 1 Stonyhurst—Dudu, and the yearling-by Apreimont—Dudu. Liberator has been turned out for a "poll tat Bangor, and will remain there during the , summer months. The old fellow has not had a good reßt since he was first put into training, that is to say, he has never been lonj I out at any period for sOme years past.
