Mr T. Bailie, Westport, is in Christchurch. * Mr R. Friedlander, Ashburton, was in town yesterday. Mr J. C. Wason, M.H.R., Corwar, came to Christchurch yesterday.Mr E. G. Wright, M.H.R., and Mr J. A. Mcllwraith, Homebu3h, are in town. Mr and Mrs A. Macfarlane, Achray, are in town. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, M.H.R., is in town. Mrs Duncan Cameron, Methven, is staying here. Mr Moritz Friedlander, Ashbnrton, went home yesterday. Dr. Greenwood returned from Nelson to Ashburton yesterday. Miss Greenwood, of Nelson, ie on a visit to Ashburton. Mr Graham Roberts came to town by the express last evening. Colonel Fox was a passenger from Wellington by the Te Anan yesterday. Mr W. Devenish Meares was a passenger for Wellington by the Tasmania yesterday. Lieutenant Pearson went by the same steamer. The Rev. W. Hewiteon is a passenger from Wellington by the Penguin to-day,
