Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary altera tions :— TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8. For Westport, per Ohau and Janet Nicoll, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 3.15 p.m.,; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, also United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (for correspondence specially addressed per Rangatira), per Penguin, at 7.46 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Due London January 28th. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10. For Northern Porta, Australian Colonies, via Wellington* Ceylon, India, China, Ac, alao United Kingdom and Continent of Europe for correspondence specially marked via Sue's, per Wakatipu, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. The mails for Noumea and Fiji close at Sydney December 9th. . Mails for Australia, &c., close at Bluff per Tarawera at Bth, at 2 p.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji, close at Kusssll per Ovalau on 17th. R. KIRTON, Chief Postmaster.
