TO THK EDITOR OF THE- PRESS. Sir, —The paucity of attendance and the utter want ot enthusiasm at the TaiTapu meeting must have struck Mr Montgomery as evident that his " State .yarn "did not go down well with the electors.' With your Leeston correspondent I think it is a great pity that some foeman worthy his steel is not brought out. It must be remembered that the change in the electorate, together with a change of sentiment, greatly reduces Mr Montgomery's chances at" the poll.
