AN ANCHOR FOUND.

A few days ago one of the - fishing cutters at Napier lost its trawling net, it having caught in some obstruction along the bottom (says the Herald). A diver was engaged to go down and clear it, and be found the obstruction was a large anchor. The Havbour Board's dredge J.D.O. was next requisitioned, and after a lot of work succeeded in bringing up a large anchor and chain, which has been recognised as the one lost by tho New Zealand Shipping Company's Rimutaka about six years ago. The value' of the anchor and chain is, we understand, about £250, and some very fine drawn arguments, taken from Lee's Laws on Shipping, are being quoted at the Spit as to the apportionment of the salvage.
