Numbers of the clergy, both in London and the provinces, preached 3-esterday on this topic. AtSfc. Paul's prayers were offered for the Christians left in the city of doom. The agitation is growing fast. Tlie Times warns its readers against tbe danger of provoking war. The Chronicle boldly says unless the Powers depose the Sultan England must. The Standard thinks the Powers ought to exercise a veto on the new Sultan's choice of Ministers.
