SENSATIONAL INCIDENT.
FIRE IN A THEATRE. Press .-Vsociation—Bv Teles-rap- -Copyright Perth, September 12. A sensational incident occurred yesterday at the Esperance Theatre. A performer dropped a burning hoop on the stage, and the attendants poured a tin of kerosene on the flames by mistake for water. The fire leaped to the roof in an instant and burned fiercely. There was tremendous excitement among the audience, who made a rush for the door. The proprietor, however, who acted with great calmness, succeeded in extinguishing the flames and restored order.
