PRIVATE BENEFIT SOCIETIES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, September 11. The following telegram was sent to the Premier by the employees of the Colonial Sugar Company:—"To the Hon. the Premier, Wellington,—We, the employees of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, desire to express our appreciation of the manner in which you have supported our interests by including our Company in the Private Benefit Societies Bill." At a meeting of the Knights of Labour the following resolution was carried unanimously :—" That we congratulate the lion, the Premier upon bis success in carrying the Private Benefit Societies Bill, and hope it will pass the Council successfully."
