LIQUOR SALE BILL.

A petition, bearing tbe signature of the chief officer of the Salvation Army in New Zealand and the Presidents and leading officers of all the temperance organisations in the colony, was presented to the Premier last night by Mr Walker, of the New Zealand Alliance. In this, the Government are earnestly urged to pass the Alcoholic Liquor Sale Control Act Amendment Bill through the House as early as possible, in order to give the Legislative Council sufficient time to complete its passage into law before .the session closes.
