SANDWICH MEN.
A sandwich man, who signs his name, sends the Wellington Post a letter in which he falls foul of the Premier for the attack made on his occupation lately in the House. To the Premier's assertion that tradesmen who adopt this system are too mean to advertise in the ordinary way, he replies that hi 3 own employer not only advertises freely through the ordinary channels, but pays his perambulating mediums liberally as well. The correspondent thinks it less degrading to carry a board thau to accept charitable aid, especially when the alternative is starvation. If this explanation is not sufficient, he is willing to meet the Premier at the Bar of the House and argue the question with him there.
