TO THE EDITOR OF THB PRESS. Sir, —Kindly allow mc to decline the hopeless task of enlightening the understanding of "G.U.8.0.L." While fully acknowledging his kindness in offering to teach mc my business, and thanking him for the interest he has evinced therein, I cannot join with him in advising the League to adopt hi. intellig.no suggestions. In his objection to the League fighting prohibition ac all, lies thi only real matter in his letter. Just at present, as he says, the League is only lighting prohibition, and that fact seams to annoy him. He is also annoyed because he cannot induce individual members of the League to join him in fighting side issues. He has evidently overlooked clause 4' of the Platform, which has been fairly well advertised. A glance at this will at once dispose of the charge of untruth he suggests, and I feel &nre he will at once apologise for having made public use of inferences deduced from his own misconception.—Yours, <fee, Veritas.
