Bomb, June 14. There is great enthusiasm in Rome over the visit of the British fleet. The Pope invited the sailors to attend his Mass in the Sistine Chapel.

London, June 15.

The Queen and the Marquis of Salisbury sent messages to the King of Italy thanking himself and the Government and the people of Italy for the splendid reception accorded to the British fleet.

The Pope blessed and entertained hundreds of the sailors, by whom he was loudly cheered.
