Suprkmb Court. —His Honour Mr Justica Deanisbon is expected from Timaru by Thursday evening. He will probably hold a sitting in Chambers ou Friday. The Timaru Supreme Court opeus to-day. Bankruptcies.— Last week there were ten bankruptcies in the colony, a storekeeper, a fanner, two storekeepers, a clerk, two merchants, a labourer, a plumber, and a milliner.

Naturalisation. —Mr Rudolph Theodore Mallasch, labourer, Kaiapoi, has taken out letters of naturalisation.

Cooper's Crkbk Race. —The water was turned on at the head works on Friday, the 12th inst. The result wa3 moat satisfactory, and the water is now running as far as Crallen's drain, a distance of three miles, which point the water reached in two and a half hours. The dam is perfectly watertight and its stability undoubted, Mr Thomas, the contraotor, was present, and flattering comments were made on the work performed by the engineer and contractor. Art Gallkry —The exhibition in connection with the Art fairly well attended yesterday, considering the couuter attraction. New Brighton Domain Board—An ordinary meeting was held yesterday, Mr Mclutyre presiding. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr .Dunlop and Mr Mclbyre —"That in the event of the appointment of the persons suggested as a New Brighton Domain Board, the Governor be requested to revoke the Order in Couucil vesting New Brighton Park (reserve 3061) in the inhabitants of the Avon road district, aud that the said reserve No. 3061 bo vested iv the new Domain Board." *

Clothing tor thk ;Nkkdt. —Mrs G. G. Stead's work class has haudsd a largo paroel of children's clothing to Sister Edith for distribution amongsc the needy; and in response to Mr Herrick'a appeal for assistance, a similar parcel has been sent to him from the same ladies. The class is still being continued, and the members hope to have a further supply of clothiug for distribution at a later'date.

Carr, of Rangiora. The bridesmaids were Misses - Ada and Lizzie Stalker, sisters of the brides. Tae church was fairly filled by guests and onlookers.
