At a meeting of tbe Eight Hours League it was resolved that the League become incorporated under the Unclassified Societies Act, 1895, under the title of " The Eight Hours League of New Zealand." At the half-yearly meeting of the Industrial Provident Society the report stated that the amount lent out wai larger than that ol tbe corresponding period last year. Owing to the reduced rat** of interest at which money can be obt <-.in.il, the Directors have thought it advisable to lower the scale of the repayment of loans. WELLINGTON, June 13.
Acting-Detective Gantley, who has been stationed at Wellington for some years, is to be transferred to O-imaru and Constable McAuliffe to Invercargill

The attendance at the Winter Show exceeded 11,000, being an increase ot 2000 on last year. The cash taken was £383, being Aa increase of £78.
