SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

♦ A meeting of the Marshland Committee waa held on Thursday evening. Present— Messrs Henahall (Chairman), Cox, Crozier, Head, Davidson, McNabb, and Schimanaki. The Master's report showed an average attendance of eighty-eight; total on roll 104. Accounts amounting to £3 10s 3d were passed for payment. The monthly meeting of the East Christchurch Committee was held at the main school on Thursday. Present—Messrs W. Sandstein (Chairman), F. J. Board, D. Lumsden, J. Tippett Smith, J. R. Brunt, H. Allison, J. S. Williams, J. Jamieson, aad S. Clarke. Several letters were read from the Board of Education. It was decided not to accept "any tender for stationery for the ensuing twelve months, but to purohase in the open market as required. The Head Master's monthly report was considered satisfactory. After passing accounts the meeting closed.
