In the case of H. Field's charge of for* gory, the jury, after being locked up all night, returned a-verdict of " Not guilty," this morning. The Bnpreme Court was occupied all day hearing a charge against Charles Gurote, alias Bismarck, of horsestealing at D—ievirke. The accused was found guiity and remanded for senteuce. DUNBDIN. Juoe3.

In the case of Robert Hardle, charged with perjury, the jury retired at 3.30, and at 9 p.m., being unable to agree, were locked up for the night.
